Ms. Soto’s passion for science began in high school, where her interest in environmental science and biology classes led her to start an Earth Club and served as the club’s President.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Linguistics, with a minor in Society and Genetics, from the University of California, Los Angeles, and continued learning through additional courses in life and space science, human anatomy, and physiology. Ms. Soto later earned a Master of Education in Inspired Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in STEM Education. She has gained valuable experience working in a variety of school settings across the Los Angeles area, supporting student learning in diverse classrooms.
Originally from Orange County, she moved to Los Angeles for her education and has proudly made it her home. As a first-generation college graduate, she is committed to fostering academic excellence and inspiring students to think critically, explore the world around them, and pursue their goals with confidence.
In her free time, Ms. Soto enjoys spending time with her husband and family, often outdoors in nature, which continues to inspire her love for science.
