All questions relating to the 2022–23 Admissions Lottery should be directed to New West Admissions.

 


Open House

Open House will be held at Barnum Hall at Santa Monica High School for the 2023-2024 school year.

Parents or legal guardians are required to attend the Open House so they may learn about our school philosophy, course offerings, and student and family expectations. All prospective families are welcome!

Online Admissions Application

The 2023–2024 Online Admissions Application will be posted here after the Open House is held.

(You must use the password given to you at the Open House to access the application.)

 


Application Deadline

All applications must be submitted before the application deadline.

Waitlist

For those families who do not attend the Open House and/or did not turn in an application by the deadline, you will have to submit a Wait List application. The Wait List application will be posted here in January 2023.

Verification Period

TBA

Due to current health safety concerns, we are canceling on-campus verification and requesting email verification instead. If you are interested in updating any of your info and/or receiving your lottery number, please email admissions@newwestcharter.org. Lottery numbers will be sent on Friday, March 4 to all families who applied by the application deadline.

 


Virtual Admission Lottery

TBA

If the number of applications exceeds the available spaces, a public lottery determines admission and/or waitlist status.

 


Notification of Admission Status

Ms. Perez will follow up with admitted families in April via email.

 


Enrollment Deadline (New Students)

TBA Admitted students must return the completed enrollment packet and its required documents to the school office. If the enrollment forms are not returned by the deadline, admission for that student is forfeited and an admission notice is mailed to the next student on the waitlist.

 


Admitted Students Tours (Accepted Students Only)

Tours will take place TBA. Families who have been admitted will receive more information via email.

 


Students Admitted from Waitlist

Students on the waitlist are notified by phone if a space becomes available starting in June. If the enrollment packet and required documents are not returned by the deadline noted on the admissions email, admission for that student is forfeited and an admission letter and enrollment pack is sent to the next student on the waitlist.
