Parents or legal guardians are encouraged to attend one of the Open House sessions as vital information about our school philosophy, course offerings, and student and family expectations are discussed. Students are encouraged to attend, but not required. There is no need to RSVP for an open house session – all prospective families are welcome!

Location of Open House
All open houses are at Santa Monica High School in Barnum Hall. 601 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, CA 90405. (Open House sessions are at Santa Monica High School because it is a larger venue. Parking is available at the Civic Center.)
Take the Fourth Street exit. Turn left onto Fourth Street. Turn right onto Civic Center Drive and park in the lot or structure
Take the Lincoln Boulevard exit. Turn right onto Lincoln Boulevard. Turn right onto Pico Boulevard. Turn right onto Fourth Street. Turn left onto Civic Center Drive and park in the lot or structure
February 21, 2020 All applications must be submitted before the application deadline. For those families who did not attend an Open House and/or did not turn in an application by the deadline, you may request to be put on our secondary waitlist. Late applications are put at the bottom of the primary waitlist and are recorded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parents/guardians must verify their application submission to receive their lottery number.
*Due to current health safety concerns, we are canceling the on-campus verification day scheduled for March 21 and requiring email verification instead. If you are interested in updating any of your info and/or receiving your lottery number, please click here and provide your student’s name, date of birth, and which grade you applied for. The verification email must be received by Saturday, March 21 at 2:00 pm.
March 25, 2020* | 5:00 pm If the number of applications exceeds the available space, a public lottery determines admission and or waitlist status.

Notification of Admission Status
April 6, 2020 Admission letters and enrollment packets are mailed to admitted students.
Enrollment Deadline (New Students)
2020: TBA Admitted students must return the completed enrollment packet and it’s required documents to the school office. If the enrollment forms are not returned by the deadline, admission for that student is forfeited and an admission notice is mailed to the next student on the waitlist.
Admitted Students Tours (Accepted Students Only)
2020: TBA Admitted students and their families are invited to participate in a school tour. Details of the tour and RSVP requirements will be included in the enrollment pack sent to all admitted students.
Students Admitted from Waitlist
Students on the waitlist are notified by phone if a space becomes available starting in June. They have seven business days from the date of 1st contact to return the enrollment packet and all required documents. If the enrollment packet is not returned within seven business days, admission for that student is forfeited and an admission letter and enrollment pack is sent to the next student on the waitlist.
