Mission Statement

The mission of New West Charter School Athletics is to demonstrate high ethical standards and sportsmanship. The Athletic Program believes the highest potential of sports is achieved when participants are committed to pursuing victory with honor according to six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.

Goals

The overall goal of the New West Charter Athletic Program is to provide student-athletes with a strong family atmosphere that communicates the value of respect and responsibility for one’s self, teammates, opponents, the game, and for people of different backgrounds, communities and cultures. The Athletic Program strives to field teams that demonstrate the best possible examples of what it means to be a part of the New West Charter family.

Principles

  • Create champions on and off the playing field.
  • Pursue victory with honor.
  • Build character and build leaders.
  • Teach fitness, sport and life skills.
