Office Administrator
Hello, my name is Mariana Ramirez. I am the Office Administrator at the Pico campus. New West welcomed me in 2019, making this school year my 7th. A warm welcome to all the new families for the 25-26 school year.
During my time at New West, I have made it a mission to create a positive school culture. I often look for ways to celebrate our students and make their middle school journey a memorable one.
I was born and raised in North East LA in the Highland Park neighborhood. I earned a B.A Degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Public Relations from the California State University, Sacramento, in 2015. At the time, I was the first one of my immediate family to receive a college degree–a huge accomplishment in my household.
Outside of New West, I mostly spend my time with my family. I have two sisters, a brother, and a young nephew whom I adore. I enjoy going to concerts and recently have caught a travel bug. I am a huge sports fanatic and wish to share the love and passion for sports with our students. For that same reason, I became a coach at New West. I have done one complete season of Girls Basketball and currently on my 4th season of girls Volleyball.
Each and every day at New West is a joy. My favorite part is the daily interactions with students, colleagues, and parents. It is truly a pleasure to serve the New West community.
