Megan Plank
English 9
Originally from Northern California, Megan Plank found her way to Los Angeles for college. While earning her bachelor's degree in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University, she played Division I water polo and worked in student media.
After graduating, Ms. Plank was convinced by her father, a high-school math teacher, to work as a substitute at her former high school district and junior high. It was there, working alongside her former teachers, that she realized her passion for teaching. Now entering her fourth year in education and her third year at New West, Ms. Plank looks forward to imparting a passion for storytelling to her students.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Plank can be found catching a comedy show with friends, writing, watching as many good movies and TV shows as she can, reading, and trying not to trip over her feet playing pick-up soccer.
