Kayla Cahoon
World Literature
I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and attended international schools before moving to Los Angeles at 18 to attend the University of Southern California. While at USC, I got an on-campus job tutoring student-athletes which inspired me to start a career in public education. I stayed at USC to get my Master’s in Teaching, and then spent the next thirteen years teaching social studies to middle school students in South LA.
I then decided to apply my passion for teaching to something new, and have loved the transition to teaching high school English here at New West.
I am excited to continue teaching 10th Grade World Literature this year!
