James Vuong
10th Grade History
I grew up in Torrance, California, and bring a diverse set of experiences to the classroom. Before entering education, I worked in a variety of fields including software startups and consulting, real estate, and business. I have taught 7th grade World History for 7 years, and this year marks my first at New West Charter School, where I will be teaching 10th grade Modern World History.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy cooking, working out, traveling, fishing, and going for walks. My passion for travel has taken me to over 20 countries, giving me a unique global perspective that I weave into my lessons. With my background in travel, education, and business, I strive to create a fun, engaging, and academically enriching classroom experience for all my students.
