Ben L. Swanson
Music
Ben L. Swanson, a native New Yorker, earned his dual Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Music Theatre Performance from James Madison University. After six years of teaching music in Virginia and three years of environmental nonprofit work in Florida, he recently relocated to California, bringing with him a flow-based approach inspired by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi that fosters creativity, engagement, and student growth.
His teaching career includes building thriving choral programs, producing musical theatre productions, and designing innovative music curricula for new public school music programs.
As a performer, Mr. Swanson has appeared with ensembles alongside Tenebrae, The King’s Singers, and Grammy® Award-nominated artist Josh Groban.
