Chief Business Officer
Kizmet White brings more than 20 years of experience in charter school leadership, fiscal management, operations, human resources, and compliance to her role as Chief Business Officer at New West Charter School. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, is pursuing an MBA, completed the 2025 Charter Schools Development Center (CSDC) Chief Business Officer Training Program, and is currently a member of the California Association of School Business Officials.
Before joining the charter world, Kizmet served as Area Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Club of Venice and Pacific Region Keystone Teen Leadership Conference Manager and Chair for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In these roles, she managed multiple sites, developed teen leadership programs, and led a successful merger with a charter school, creating a unique partnership that bridged youth development and education.
At New West, Kizmet’s background in youth development and education guides her equity-centered leadership. In her role as Chief Business Officer, she focuses on creating reliable financial, operational, and organizational structures that not only help teachers and staff succeed but also directly benefit students.
In addition to her professional work, Kizmet is dedicated to community service. She volunteers as a youth intervention specialist, advocating for foster youth and youth on probation, and firmly believes that education, supportive programs, and positive role models are essential in helping young people reach their full potential.
