Ruby Bhaijee will be beginning her eleventh year as an educator and fourth year here at New West. Ms. Bhaijee has taught at both charter and district schools and is excited to be a part of an incredible team of like-minded professionals at New West. She earned her B.A at the University of California, Irvine, and has a Single-Subject credential to teach both English Language Arts and the Social Sciences. She has taught all levels of high school English, including AP Literature, as well as World History, Geography, and Yearbook.

Ms. Bhaijee has a passion for working with students in the classroom. She has felt privileged to get to know her students over the years and to watch them grow, mature, and achieve their goals. She is especially excited this year to help students transition back to in-person learning here at New West. Additionally, she is looking forward to supporting the Class of 2025 as they get started on their high school journey this year and cheering them on as they inevitably become proud and contributing members of the New West community over the next four years.

When she’s not teaching, Ms. Bhaijee can generally be found at a live sporting event (Lakers, Dodgers, LAFC), on a plane to San Francisco visiting her adorable nephews, or giving treats to her puppy (Marley). Also, Ms. Bhaijee wants everyone to know that she ran her first ever set of 5ks this summer as part of the runDisney Lion King 5K series, and her legs still hurt.
