6th Grade Science

I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing teaching and learning community at New West Charter School as the sixth-grade science teacher. I have been teaching sixth-grade science for 7 years, in both Boston and LA. I grew up in New Hampshire and lived in Boston and NYC prior to moving to Los Angeles. I attended the University of Vermont where I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Community Development and Applied Economics. During my undergraduate program, I studied abroad in Honduras working in a school for the first time and realized how much I loved teaching! This prompted me to return to college and earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Simmons College in Boston.

I am passionate about teaching and supporting my students' journey in education. When not in the classroom, I enjoy fitness (teaching and learning), outdoor adventures, and the ocean.
