Hello, my name is Loren Lockett. Most of the students know me as Coach Lockett.
This is my fourth year teaching, however this is my first year at New West. I am teaching Health & Fitness at New West Charter School for this upcoming 2021-2022 school year. I think we have an excellent group of teachers here at New West, I am very excited about making my contributions to the solid foundation they already have in place.
I was born and raised all over Southern California. I attended University of La Verne where I studied Kinesiology with an emphasis in education. I most recently received my Masters Degree from University of La Verne in Education. I will be coaching boys varsity basketball this upcoming season and look forward to putting our team in a position to be successful while fostering a positive culture in our program.
I look forward to meeting all of our amazing students, families and support networks. So I can find out how I can be of assistance and become a part of that community in helping provide our students at New West the best possible foundation to build towards their future.
