Juan Garcia is a language teacher with over 30 years of experience working in student-focused learning environments helping students and college graduates improve their language skills. Juan combines his solid background as a language trainer and as a native speaker of Spanish with real-life and appealing situations to motivate students to learn. His experience teaching Spanish to English-speaking people both on a one-to-one basis and to large classes allows him to attend to each student's specific needs.
Juan Garcia obtained his Bachelor in Education Specialization in English Language from the University of Camaguey, Cuba in 1982. Since then, he has worked in different colleges and schools in Cuba and in the U.S. He has also worked as a teacher trainer. He has likewise completed all requirements of the California and Florida Statutes and State Board of Education Rules for the coverage of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL K-12) and Spanish K-12 and holds valid teacher credentials in both states.
Mr. Garcia is also an experienced editor, translator, and interpreter which adds to his qualifications as a language teacher. He has made his mission in life to help others develop language skills from basic communication to the academic use of language. He is diligent and down-to-earth and makes everything within his power to help everybody who attends his classes develop language skills to perform adequately in this global world.
