Prior to teaching, Chris Atwood spent over twenty years working in the film and television industry, doing all the jobs (starting with PA) before transitioning to writing and producing. He graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Theater, performed in many stage productions in the area and did standup comedy (pre-internet, so don’t bother trying to look it up) before moving to California and turning his attention to the LA entertainment industry.
He has been a substitute teacher at New West for the past three years where he taught PE, Algebra and English, and is thrilled to be the Film Production and Yearbook teacher this year where he can share his love for the creative process with the students of New West!
