Ms. Anderson is beginning her first year with New West. She is new to the state of California and honored to be working with the students of New West to strengthen their individual musicianship and ensemble skills.
Ms. Anderson holds a Bachelors of Music Education from Samford University. The concentration of her study was on vocal/ choral literature and special education. She is trained in teaching Band, Choir, Orchestra, General music, and theory. In her own performance, Ms. Anderson has performed with several world renown choirs and ensembles. Ms. Anderson is primarily a soprano but has played an array of instruments through her music study.
Ms. Anderson has a passion for strengthening her ensembles by strengthening individual musicianship. She believes that an informed musician is a successful musician. Ms. Anderson uses a combination of pedagogical styles, pulling on her experiences as a performer and teacher, to help her students succeed. She believes in creating a safe place for student learning and exploration. Ms. Anderson's individualized instruction and classroom management ensures that each student will be able to achieve their individual goals and strengthen their talents.
