I am a Los Angeles native who began her dance training at the age of 5. I was a student at Debbie Allen Dance Academy where I studied ballet, tap, jazz, African, Flamenco, and hip hop. Throughout my school-aged years, I continued my dance education with various schools around the Los Angeles area. Upon graduating from Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES), I attended Howard University where I graduated cum laude with my B.F.A in Dance Arts.
During my tenure at Howard University, I was graced with the opportunity to hone in on my choreographic skills by working alongside my professors as an Assistant Choreographer on their projects both within and outside of the university. I was the head choreographer for Antigone and other projects on campus. My senior year composition project was picked to be in the spring showcase alongside pieces choreographed by professionals.
Some of my dance credits include 2015 BET Honors, Up in the Air: A Tribute to Lewis Johnson (where I danced with professional dance company Philadanco!), The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage showcase, Balanchine and Beyond: a Showcase with the Washington Ballet, and the music video Sorry by TSean.
I began teaching dance while I was in high school and have been teaching ever since. This is my third year teaching at New West Charter School.
